Preschool Orientation

Macy was so excited to go to "her school" that she didn't even want dinner. When we arrived at the church, Joey was on auto-pilot and zoomed into the nursery. I signed in and we headed down to Macy's classroom. The cubbies are located right by the front door and she quickly found her name! While Donald and I sat through the orientation, Macy and Joey played in the nursery. Donald peeked in on them once and Joey was going about his usual play and Macy was dancing and prancing all over the room. She is just so excited.

Her first day of school is Wednesday, August 6th. The 3-hour day will fly by because the morning is broken down into small 10 - 20 minute activites:
9:00 - 9:20 Open Art or Centers
9:20 - 9:45 Circle Time
9:45 - 9:55 Rest Room Break
9:55 - 10:15 Art/Science
10:15 - 10:30 Worship Curriculum
10:30 - 10:50 Outside Time (great playground!)
11:00 - 11:20 Rest Room Break
11:20 - 11:35 Snack Time
11:35 - 11:45 Story Time
11:45 - 12:00 Fine Motor Skills

We have the option of letting her stay until 1:00 for the Lunch Bunch (which she is already asking for).

She had a great time playing with other kids and can't wait to go back. There is an open house on Friday morning that I might take her to so she can meet the teachers, Ms. Cathy (who happens to be the director) and Ms. Melissa.
