Our BIG Camping Trip

We are leaving for our BIG camping trip in the morning! We'll be gone for 19-20 days and we'll have some great pictures to share when we return!

Day 1-2: Somewhere near Malibu, CA
Day 3: Somewhere near Monterey Bay, CA
Day 4-6: San Francisco!
Day 7-8: Camping in the Redwoods!
Day 9-10: Gold Beach, OR - with a jet boat ride up the Rogue River!
Day 11: Florence, OR
Day 12-13: Newport, OR - Oregon Coast Aquarium & Agate hunting on Beverly Beach
Day 14-17: Grant Pass, OR - visiting family!!!
Day 18: Middle of Nowhere, NV
Day 19: Home?

Last Day of Preschool!

Today was the last day of Lord of Grace Preschool for Macy Sue! We have two great books craft books from the year and a DVD to remember the fun times!

A long weekend

Thursday: The kids and I rode our bikes down to our little park and they rode around and around and around until they were hot and tired!
Friday: Donald put a new fuel pump in the Yukon...lots of fun in the 100 degree heat! He still needs to put new fuel injectors in this next weekend...again in the 100 degree heat!
Saturday: We started to weather-proof the trailer. It became a bigger job than I anticipated, but we finally finished on...
Sunday: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Another incredibly hot day, but the Yukon has been put back together, the trailer is finished (for this weekend anyway), and I even got a nap!

Santa Cruz River

We got home from White Sands, unloaded the car and started laundry. The kids played while D took a nap and I caught up on my millions of emails! I was finally ready to take a nap myself when D came down and asked who wanted to ride to the river. Of course I was out voted, so off we went on a 3 mile ride to the river. Macy is becoming a little speed demon! Joey, on the other hand, likes to stop and look at everything along the way!

We finally made it to the river and Shelby ran down the bank to take a swim. Joey liked throwing rocks in the river and we got some good pictures.

On the way home, Macy and I practiced our phonics lessons and Shelby ran through as much dirt as she could find! It was dark by the time we got to the house, so I had to give Shelby a quick bath on the patio in the dark. Then I remembered that Monday is a school day for Macy and the kids still needed a bath! It was a LATE night, but we had fun!

White Sands

We drove to White Sands, NM early Saturday morning to meet Garrett, Krista & the girls. It wasn't too hot, but quite windy! The kids had tons of fun.

Garrett reserved a room at the Holiday Inn and Donald and Garrett took the kids down to the pool while Krista and I ran to Walmart. (Everyone knows that even on vacation, no day is complete without the mandatory trip to Walmart!)

Joey fell asleep right after swimming, and I think at one point we were all passed out in the hotel! We finally got it together and walked over to Chili's for dinner. Since we were such a large group, we had to wait about 30 minutes before we could be seated, but the kids had fun dancing on the sidewalk!

We headed home Sunday morning. I was a quick trip, but we all had a great time and can't wait to get together again soon! Maybe Carlsbad Caverns this summer!
