(written by Donald from Mandy's point-of-view)
Being residents of Arizona, we're not surprised when poisonous critters start invading our households. After seeing what appeared to be a western diamondback in the bush next to our driveway, I delicately ran to the front door and informed Donald of the infestation. Of course, I knew just his manliness alone would scare the serpent away (probably scare it to death).
After his lengthy telephone call to his family, he picked out the mini crossbow, a good choice for varmints smaller than a bobcat but bigger than a scorpion (as a general rule). He headed out the front door. Macy yelled out, "be brave Daddy!". HA! Not to worry.
In no time he returned with the impaled creature. It was somewhat smaller than expected (which made the shot more challenging). We're not quite sure if it was a diamond back. Donald said it's small size and "spongy" fangs suggested it likely preyed on very small animals; perhaps it scavenged on dead insects; like the ones people find on their front bumpers.

Pretty good shot, though! Look at the scales on that one!
