Cleaning up!

Surprisingly the laundry is FINISHED! Well, it is washed and dried and heaped on the couch until...well, is that really important?

We moved the trailer out into the driveway to finish drying out. What a chore that was! Donald couldn't get the front wheel on the trailer, so we (Donald) had to pull it out with brute force. I cleaned up the trailer and repacked the camping boxes. Donald helped me remake the beds so we are all ready for the next trip, when ever that may be.

Finding the wiring issue was quite a task! Donald took the rear tail light off and looked for the problem. We were afraid there was a short somewhere in the wiring under the trailer. While looking for the wiring problem, he found that the crank that lifts the roof had been pulled off the side of the frame! Great. I had to make a "quick" run into town and, luckily, ACE was open on Labor Day so I could buy some bolts. I zipped back home and we completed that task, but still hadn't found the wiring problem. I kept asking D if the new plug was wired correctly. Geez, it was a simple question, but because he had wired it, he knew it was okay. Anyway, hours later we discovered that the contacts on the Yukon outlet were not spread far enough apart to make contact with the plug. Problem solved and a whole day gone. Thank goodness I had stopped at Safeway on my way home from ACE and bought some milk and a hot, fresh loaf of French bread. We popped it in the oven with some butter and had a little dinner of bread and milk. What a way to end the great Labor Day weekend campout!
