We arrived at Big Lake around 10:00 am. Luckily there were still a lot of sites available. The kids had fun running around while D and I set up the trailer. The weather was much cooler up in the mountains and a LOT less bugs!
Last year Daddy carved a walking stick for Macy and this year Joey got his. There were so many squirrels in the area and Shelby went nuts! We kept her tied up so she wouldn't run all over the campground, but she barked like crazy. On top of that, the people camping right next to us had a Beagle as well and we heard at least 2 other Beagles in the area! You have to be CRAZY to own a Beagle!!!
The kids couldn't wait for dinner...only because they know that AFTER dinner we get to make 'smores! The burgers were a little smoky, but that's what camping is all about, right?
